Dr. Abeesh Padmanabha Pillai  Consultant Nephrology

Biography

Dr. Abeesh completed his MBBS and MD (Internal Medicine) from Government Medical College, Madurai, India. He did his Nephrology training at Madras Medical College, Chennai, India. His experience in nephrology spans eight years. He worked as a Consultant Nephrologist in various institutions in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. His areas of interest include preventive nephrology, critical care nephrology, interventional nephrology, transplant nephrology, and renal replacement therapy. His research on “Anti-Phospholipase A2 receptor antibody in membranous nephropathy” was the first of its kind in India, for which he was awarded first prize in the Indian Society of Nephrology (Southern Chapter). His work in “Evaluation of glycemic repercussions in hemodialysis patients” has been awarded the ‘Young investigator Award’ from PC Mary Tanker Foundation. He has four publications to his credit. He has been conducting awareness talks in various forums.
