In addition to managing routine gastrointestinal disorders, Dr. Khatib Ul Islam is proficient in handling critically ill patients with complex gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary emergencies, including gastrointestinal bleeding, hematemesis, hepatic encephalopathy, acute liver failure (ALF), and related critical care conditions. He is well-versed in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, gastric and duodenal biopsies, variceal band ligation, esophageal dilatation, stenting, colonoscopy, and polypectomy.
