With over 12 years of experience in the field of neurosurgery, Dr. Lukman Ibrahim is a highly skilled and compassionate medical professional dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients with neurological disorders. He has worked at several leading hospitals and specialized centers, earning recognition for adopting the latest neurosurgical techniques while maintaining a patient-centered, safety-first approach. Dr. Lukman completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Miraj, Maharashtra in 2004, followed by a superspeciality Master’s Degree in Neurosurgery (DNB, Direct 5-Year Course) from Medical Trust Hospital, Ernakulam, Kerala, in 2013. He began his career as a staff neurosurgeon at MIMS, Calicut, where he served for 4 years. Since 2017, he has been practicing in the UAE as a Specialist Neurosurgeon at Al Qassimi Hospital, Sharjah—a tertiary government hospital. His surgical repertoire includes a wide range of emergency and elective procedures in neurotrauma, neuro-oncology, neurovascular, and spinal specialties. Some of his key procedures include craniotomies with ICP monitoring, burr hole surgeries, foramen magnum decompression for Chiari malformation, glioma surgeries, VP shunts, EVDs, ACDF, micro-lumbar discectomy, and spinal tumor resections. He is well-versed with advanced neurosurgical technologies such as operating microscopes and neuro-navigation systems.
